At BCA, you’ll have a ton of opportunities to get involved in the arts! Whether you’re passionate about drama, music, art, dance, or you just want to try something new, there are many different ways you can develop your skills in the arts. 


Drama classes 

Take a drama classes for credit where you’ll learn about acting and get to play a role in several drama productions presented by the drama class. 

You’re also able to audition for an acting role in Briercrest’s annual Christmas production, presented by Briercrest Onstage.


Arts class

Take art as a course for credit! You’ll have the opportunity to learn and experiment with many different art media including pottery, watercolour, and sharpie art. You’ll also receive special instruction from guest teachers who specialize in a particular medium. 

Photography and design class 

As one of the Practical and Applied Arts (PAA) options at BCA, this course allows students to explore photography, graphic design, as well as audio and video production. You can find out more information about other PAA classes here.


Private lessons 

If you’re looking to explore dance, BCA students have the opportunity to take private dance lessons through Briercrest College. 

Refined Undignified 

Refined Undignified (RU) is a hip-hop dance ministry team that originated at Briercrest. BCA students can audition for the high school team that uses dance as a way of reaching people with the Gospel. The RU dance team also travels with the choir on the Easter Tour.


Worship team 

Our worship team leads the student body in worship during chapel throughout the school year. Being involved in the BCA worship team is great opportunity to develop your musical abilities and grow as a worship leader. Whether you sing or play an instrument, come out and audition at the beginning of the school year! 


Join choir as a course for credit! The BCA choir presents at local events, church services, and joins in Briercrest’s Christmas production. Students in choir also have the opportunity to travel on a four-day Easter Tour to present in various churches throughout Saskatchewan.

Private lessons

Continue taking private lessons or learn a new instrument! We offer private vocal and instrument lessons through Performing Arts in the College. 


Audition to join the college orchestra! The college orchestra is made up of community members, college, and high school students who enjoy playing with musicians. The orchestra performs at Briercrest’s Christmas production and the Classical Concert.

Summer Stage

Each spring, Briercrest Onstage presents several outstanding musical productions. BCA students have the opportunity to audition for a role and gain valuable performing experience and instruction from music faculty in the College.


Cheesecake Café

Every year, students have the opportunity to share their talents from a stage during the Cheesecake Café. This is an event open to parents, friends, and community members. The Cheesecake Café, among other events listed, provide an opportunity for students to learn tech skills and be involved with the tech team.
